A very exciting trip to Boat of Garten
Recently, we had a very exciting trip to the Boat of Garten to drop off ten of my original paintings to the 1896 Gallery. We made a weekend of it and stayed at the lovely Boat Country Inn which is just across from the gallery. If you visit, the food at the Boat Inn is delicious!
The gallery is on two floors and on the ground floor, there are lots of amazing handmade gifts available as well as stunning landscape photography by the owner, James. The upstairs space is full of fantastic vibrant nature and landscape inspired artwork. I am so delighted and feel very lucky to have my paintings exhibited alongside lots of brilliant artwork in such a beautiful, special place.
The day after we dropped off the paintings, James said we could come back to see them up on the wall. I was delighted, they are hung so beautifully on the back wall upstairs. I am so pleased! It makes me so happy to be able to work with such lovely people and to show my work in a gorgeous setting.
After that, we visited Loch Garten. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely breathtaking! We got so lucky with the sunshine and the water was so still, it was like a mirror. We took so many photographs and I came away feeling so refreshed and inspired to create a new series of paintings. What a boost that weekend gave me. It was much needed after recovering from a nasty virus.
We truly are so blessed to have such amazing views not far from where we live. The landscape surrounding Boat of Garten is incredible, it is such a special place. Well worth a visit.
