Encaustic Wax & Mixed Media Art Workshop

Saturday 21st February from 2pm - 4pm at Kingswells Village Hall, Old Skene Road, Kingswells, Aberdeen, AB15 8QA.

This will be a two hour adult workshop with a small group and all abilities are more than welcome. Come along and create your own nature inspired painting on an A4 cradled panel using unusual fun and relaxing mixed media materials and processes.

I will demonstrate my favourite processes and then you can have a go. We will melt beeswax and vibrant encaustic wax blocks with an iron. We will then carve details into the surface and layer oil paint with gorgeous metallic pigments and resins. These processes may sound like a lot but they are very intuitive and playful so no experience is required.

All materials will be provided as well as tea and home bakes, included in the price of £40.
